Ronald J Stebbins

Bowlers, it’s with great sadness that we pass on to you the news of the passing of one of our local bowlers.  Ron Stebbins passed away on the 15th.  He bowled at Sheppard AFB on the Tuesday and Thursday leagues.  He will be missed on the lanes.

Ron spent almost 2 decades serving in the Army, during which he was awarded a Silver Star, a Bronze Star and received a Purple Heart for injuries sustained in combat as a member of the Special Forces 5th Group.

Maria Horton said one of his proudest moments was when his grandson graduated from the Texas State Trooper Academy.

There will be viewings on Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:30 and a Service at 10am on Thursday at Owens and Brumley.

We need some reporters

With the 2018-2019 fall season upon us, we’re looking for volunteers from our leagues to help us out by taking pictures of members when they achieve an honor scores (300 Game, 800 Series, etc…).  If you are interested in helping us out, please send an email with a picture and a brief description of their achievement, to “GrWichitaFallsUSBC@gmail.com”,  We’ll post the picture and the details on our Web site/Facebook/Twitter pages and give you the credit for sending them to us.

With your help we will be able to recognize our members and congratulate them for their accomplishments in all the leagues within the Greater Wichita Falls USBC.
